Step By Step Guide to Setting Up Twinkly Christmas Lights

Step 1: Download the Twinkly app from the app store Step 2: Make sure you are connected to your home or office WiFi Step 3: Open the Twinkly App. It will begin searching for your Twinkly device, but it will not find the device on its own. Once the screen shows "Choose your Twinkly!", proceed to the next step. Step 4: Select the device you are connecting to. This will typically be the Generation II option. Step 5: Hold down the button on the controller until the light turns bluish-green and then release the button. Then choose Home/Office Wifi. Step 6: Select the network name for your home/office WiFi and enter the WiFi's password and then select "Connect". Step 7: At this point, you can either map the lights, or if you'd like to wait and play around with the pre-sets for the lights first, select "Skip Setup". You can go back and map your lights at any time. Step 8: At this point, it's a good idea to check to make sure you have the most up to date firmware. Tap the device button and then the gear icon to the right of the device name. If you see the exclamation mark on the firmware line, you'll need to update your firmware by clicking on "Update Firmware" at the bottom of the screen. Step 9: When you are ready to map, tap the mapping icon and follow the mapping instructions on the app. Step 10: If the device is not working properly, it's a good idea to do a factory reset. To do a factory reset, first, unplug your lights. Hold down the button on the controller and plug the lights in. Continue holding down the button until the light on the controller stops blinking and then release the button.
